Appalachian Dream Cabin

Lovely place. Well maintained and clean. Breathtaking mountain views. The outdoor seating areas are perfectly situated so that you can take in the scenery. It’s also close to town. Michael was wonderful, quick to respond, and had everything laid out perfectly. Our group had a great time celebrating the New Year at this lovely cabin.

This cabin has all you want if you want a relaxing weekend. Fantastic outdoor firepit with amazing views, quiet scenery, secluded and very nice vibes inside with the indoor fireplace as well. Highly recommend for those wanting to take a breather!

Our family had a great time at the cabin! So cute and quaint and the view is the best part. Most sightseeing we did was about a 30 min drive but we were able to explore so many really cool areas. Highly recommend!

The cabin was gorgeous and very clean. The property was perfect. The driveway was vary steep but even in our Mustangs we were able to get up to the top. The property owner was very nice and helpful with any questions. We plan on coming back soon!

We will return, awesome week in an awesome place, very relaxing!! We are so talking and bragging about our perfect get away!!!!

We had a wonderful time in this lovely cabin. Watched the sunset. Made a fire. Had coffee during sunrise. Went to nearby trails to hike and see waterfalls.

Michael’s place was clean and comfortable for our family of 6 (four adult kids and a plus one). We enjoyed venturing out from there to Catawba Falls (beautiful and very close by!) and driving over to Mt. Mitchell. We also enjoyed the fire pit at the cabin, star gazing and board games around the table. Downstairs was a great place for the kids to catch up while those upstairs turned in.

We had such a relaxing week. The home and property were just as described. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking and everything was clean and comfortable. The view from the back porch was the perfect start and end to each day. We will definitely be back!

We enjoyed this beautiful venue in God’s country in May 2024! The driveway is steep and worth the trip to the top of the mountain. Once there, the air is clean and refreshing. The sunshine shows so many different aspects of the Great Smokey Mountains as the cloud shapes drift over the valley below. The view is breathtaking. This lovely cabin has absolutely everything necessary for a elegant escape from the city. We definitely plan to rent again!!!

Such a nice place, even better than the pics. Love the cabin theme decor, beautifully decorated. Lots of room inside and out for a family to spread out. Thanks for keeping the kitchen well-stocked and leaving condiments/spices and kitchen supplies; we enjoyed cooking and preparing multiple meals. We were lucky to have perfect weather and spent most of our time outdoors enjoying the mountain views and fire pit. We weren’t expecting such nice weather; I wish we had brought cornhole/outdoor games. Great location, close to stores and the little downtown area with restaurants and bars. We explored some falls and easy hikes in the area and along the Blue Ridge Pkwy, and spent a day in Asheville and Biltmore (about 40mins drive). The driveway was intimidating our first couple times up and down, but we got used to it, and it is definitely worth it to get to those great mountain views! We highly recommend this home!

This was our second stay in the cabin, because it has all the conveniences and comfortable touches anyone could wish for in a mountain vacation home. From the well stocked kitchen, to the very comfy chairs in the living room, to the dining table with stunning views over the mountains, to the comfortable bed on the main level. (I can’t speak to the other beds, because we didn’t use them.) Communication with Michael was great, and the house was very clean. We enjoyed the wildlife that visited the property: wild turkeys, woodpeckers, squirrels, and a flock of guinea fowl (very LOUD birds!). On our previous trip we even saw two deer in the back yard. Be aware that the driveway to the property is very steep, and narrow. Our Honda CRV made it without problems, though. We enjoyed our visit very much and hope to return again some day.

We recently stayed at this amazing cabin and had an incredible experience! The location is fantastic, providing easy access to local attractions while still feeling secluded and peaceful. The cabin itself is beautiful and very well-maintained, clearly showing that the host takes great care to ensure everything is top-notch. One thing we’ve noticed right away is how clean this place is. We stayed in several cabins and this one was the cleanest. The host (Michael) was exceptionally attentive and communicative throughout our stay, always ready to help with any questions or needs we had. This level of service made our stay even more enjoyable and stress-free. We will definitely be returning to this wonderful cabin the next time we’re in the area. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and well-cared-for place to stay. Thank you so much!
